The ValdĂ©s family began planting coffee here in the 1960s, and Wicho has spent more than 20 years refining cultivation, harvest, and processing after earning a degree in agricultural engineering. Together, the farms employ roughly 600 people during peak season and grow varietals including Caturra, CatuaĂ, Bourbon, and select experimental plantings.
